An adult Halloween themed 5km with ghostly ghouls and vociferous vampires out to get you on the route. Dodge the wicked werewolves and beware of the headless man as you loop around Dartford on this deathly adventure.
Each km will be marked with a character who may be drifting in the shadows or visibly there to scare the life out of you.
Kids race 6:30pm in Dartford Park
Adult race 7pm in Dartford Park
All finishers receive a medal, a snack, and water
The route is one lap of Dartford Park and exiting through the terrifying tarantula ridden tunnel into the zombie lakes and then up to the bumbling bus lane of decapitated souls on Princes Road.
Go over the frightening flyover and be careful of the witches flying overhead. Come down the other side and up Pilgrims Way where the ghosts of Pilgrims past will no doubt follow you to the end. Here you will turn left down withering Watling Street and continue onto the beastly Brent.
Crossing park road at the crossing and continue to the yelling screams down York Road. At the end of York Road turn right into Brent Lane and past the eerie Ivy Leaf before turning right again along dirty Darenth Way and dastardly Darenth Road into East Hill and left into Dirtford itself !!!
Through the town (Market Street) following the one way horse and carriage track of the dismembered traitors of Medway and then back along Lowfield Street past the funeral directors (be sure not to visit) and then left as you avoid lacerating your limbs past the leisure centre and back into the park to finish.
If you make it this far you will be presented with a Medal a snack some water and be bitten by a Vampire to fly home as a bat. (maybe not the last bit !)
Lots of parking nearby Acacia Hall, opposite Cranford Road and availability in nearby public car parks.
Dartford train station a short walk away and buses stop at Fairfield leisure centre close to Dartford park. Fancy dress encouraged ! But not a necessity.
